COLOURS
|
|
| DESCRIPTION - A comprenhensive range of ready mixed High Opacity and All Purpose colours suitable for printing on both manual and automatic equipment. Formulated to give excellent wet-on-wet printability the rheology of the standard colours allows increased production speeds especially through finer and higher tension meshes when used on automatic presses. Cold peel transfers can also be produced when used with most popular types of cold peel paper. | |
| RECOMMENDED FABRICS - 100% cotton, cotton polyester blends and acrylics. | |
| RECOMMENDED UNDERLAYS - For 100% cotton fabrics any of our whites can be used. However, when printing on medium and dark shades of cotton polyester blends a bleed resistant underbase white such as Premium White. | |
| RECOMMENDED MESH - 34T - 77T/cm monofilament polyester for good opacity on dark garments and underlays, while mesh counts up to 120T/cm can be used on white and pastel garments. | |
| MODIFIERS - This ink range is considered ready for use and, like all plastisols, should be stirred before use. However, if modification is required, then the following recommendations are made. For reducing viscosity use either Plastisol Thinner to a maximum of 3% or Curable Reducer in any amount. To extend the ink and maintain viscosity add Clear Extender Base or to achieve a softer hand use Soft Hand Non Build Base To extend the ink but minimise the loss of opacity use Opaque Wet On Wet Base. | |
| CURE TEMPERATURE - 145°C to 160°C dependent on ink deposit, colour and dryer efficiency. | |
| WASH FASTNESS - When properly cured all Western Star plastisols exhibit excellent wash fastness. However, plastisol prints should not be bleached or ironed and dry cleaning is not recommended. | |
| CLEAN UP - White spirit, turpentine substitute and some biodegradable screen washes. | |
| PACKAGING - 1 kilo tubs, 4 kilo tubs, 20 litre pails. | |
| STORAGE - Avoid extremes of temperature. Recommended storage temperatures 20°C - 30°C. | |
