Base and Pigment Concentrate mixing systems allow maximum flexibility to the textile screen printer while minimising inventory levels. Western Star offers a carefully chosen selection of bases all giving excellent print and cure characteristics.

• OPAQUE WET-ON-WET BASE - A conventional general-purpose base which can also be pigmented at up to 30% loading. Suitable for all types of equipment, Opaque Wet-On-Wet Base is a good general-purpose choice exhibiting excellent cure characteristics.
• SOFT HAND NON BUILD BASE - This base can either be used to extend opaque inks or as a lightly pigmented base for soft hand inks on white and pastel fabrics. Recommended for use with a Pigment Concentrate loading up to 15%.
• PROCESS BASE - Specifically formulated for the production and extending of process colours this base has a rheology which helps minimum dot gain. Recommended for use with a Pigment Concentrate loading of up to 15%.
• FAST FUSION BASE - Ideal for producing inks on heat sensitive fabrics or stretch fabrics such as Lycra or Spandex. The low cure characteristics and clarity of this base make it ideal for the production of metallic and thick ink film inks such as glitters. Maximum recommended Pigment Concentrate loading is 25%.
• PUFF BASE - Formulated to produce raised or puff inks with a uniform smooth surface. This base can also be added at low levels (up to 5%) to pigmented inks to improve opacity. Maximum recommended Pigment Concentrate loading is 25%.
• SUEDE BASE - A new base has been produced to simulate the effect of suede leather. Maximum recommended Pigment Concentrate loading is 25%.
